British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) approves HeartWorks eLearn to its members for the TOE syllabus

We are pleased to announce that HeartWorks eLearn has been approved by the British Society of Echocardiography as an educational resource for Transoesophageal Echocardiography (TOE) compatible to its syllabus and will be launched to all Society members at the forthcoming BSE Annual meeting in London.

HeartWorks eLearn is a web-based, interactive, self-directed learning tool for clinicians wishing to consolidate their knowledge of TOE and is ideally suited for sonographers, cardiologists, intensivists and emergency room physicians for their continued training.

Rick Steeds, President of the BSE, commented:

“Our close collaboration with the HeartWorks team has been one of a number of working initiatives to provide low cost or free education to support training and career progression in echocardiography. HeartWorks is an excellent e-learning resource and a great way to cover all the education material in the BSE TOE syllabus.”

Stuart Gall, CEO of the MedaPhor Group which recently acquired HeartWorks, commented:

“We are delighted to be working with the BSE and supporting their wider efforts to overcome the challenges of the shortage of trained echocardiographers in the UK. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with the Society as we further develop HeartWorks simulation to enable standardisation in professional practice and accreditation.”

HeartWorks is an excellent e-learning resource and a great way to cover all the education material in the BSE TOE syllabus.
