Medaphor announces largest single contract win

Cardiff, UK; 1st October 2015: MedaPhor Group plc (AIM: MED) (‘MedaPhor’), the global provider of advanced ultrasound skills training simulators for medical professionals, is today pleased to announce the largest contract win to a single customer in its history. The contract covers the sale of four TVS (transvaginal simulator) systems and two TAS (transabdominal simulator) systems to the University of Cumbria.

The University of Cumbria has chosen ScanTrainer as the core ultrasound training simulator for its new direct entry Medical Ultrasound MSc course. The new programme, the first of its kind in the UK, will take on its first cohort of students in January 2016 and will give both clinical and non-clinical postgraduates the opportunity to learn ultrasound as a full-time masters course.

Stuart Gall, CEO, at MedaPhor, comments:

“The fact that ScanTrainer is increasingly being used as a foundation technology for ultrasound education programmes is testament to the versatility of the simulator and its ability to scale to suit programmes of all sizes across both universities and hospitals. We’re excited about the growing possibilities for MedaPhor across the global medical education sector.”
