ScanNav AI software featured on ITV news

Intelligent Ultrasound Ltd announces its artificial intelligence (“AI”) based real-time image analysis software, ScanNav™ has featured on the ITV ‘Wales This Week’ programme.

ScanNav uses deep learning-based algorithms to automatically identify, grade and capture good ultrasound images to provide real-time guidance, assessment and audit of obstetric scanning. It is believed to be the first AI system to carry out an automated, real-time “peer review” of obstetric ultrasound images as the patient is scanned.

The technology is currently being piloted at the Fetal Medicine Department of St George’s University Hospitals NHS Trust in London, UK.

Nicholas Sleep, Chief Technology Officer at MedaPhor, commented: “The initial feedback from the pilot of our ScanNav AI software in St George’s Hospital, London has been very positive. After expanding the pilot over the coming months, we look forward to ScanNav being used more widely to improve ultrasound scanning for patients.”
