Dr. David Burckett-St.Laurent, Consultant Anaesthetist at Royal Cornwall Hospitals, NHS Trust, and Dr. James Bowness, Consultant Anaesthetist at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board will be hosting a live scanning demonstration using ScanNav Anatomy PNB.

Following the demonstration, Dr. Burckett-St.Laurent and Dr. Bowness will be available to answer your questions.

ScanNav Anatomy PNB comes pre-installed onto an easily portable touchscreen monitor and links to your usual ultrasound machine using the HDMI or DVI output port.

On-screen, 3D animated block specific training materials are provided and can be viewed separately or alongside the live image scan.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The promoter is: Intelligent Ultrasound Ltd whose registered office is at Floor 6A, Hodge House, 224-116 St Mary Street, Cardiff, CF10 1DY.
  2. The competition is open to anyone attending the RA-UK Annual Scientific Meeting 2021 event aged 18 years or over except employees of Intelligent Ultrasound and their close relatives. The entrant must also be employed at a UK institution that carries out ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. To enter the competition, the entrant must complete an on-line survey and provide their name, email and contact details. 
  5. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  6. Closing date for entry will be 2pm BST, Thursday 6th May. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  7. You will receive notification of receipt after submitting your entry form.
  8. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  9. The prize is as follows: 1 x ScanNav Anatomy Peripheral Nerve Block system to be provided to the entrant’s institution. A description of the system is given on

  11. The winner will be chosen after 2pm on Thursday 6th May.
  12. The winner will be notified by email. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  13. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize will be delivered.
  14. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. Intelligent Ultrasound would expect to set up a product use case study and testimonial post event to be used in ongoing promotional material.
