COVID-19 ultrasound training module released for BodyWorks PoCUS simulator

Intelligent Ultrasound Group, the ultrasound artificial intelligence (AI) software and simulation company today launched a COVID-19 training module for its state of the art BodyWorks Point-of-Care Ultrasound simulator.

To help in the fight against COVID-19 our frontline doctors and software development team have been working around the clock to develop and release a COVID-19 module for our BodyWorks PoCUS training simulator to help train clinicians to rapidly acquire and practice lung ultrasound skills. This includes a number of examples of lung ultrasound appearances typical of COVID-19 infection.

Lung ultrasound has major utility for the management of respiratory related COVID-19 infection due to its safety, repeatability, absence of radiation, low cost and point of care use. It is also relatively easy to disinfect compared to alternative imaging modalities.

The COVID-19 training module is free for all existing and new BodyWorks PoCUS customers and was made available to the market today. The first systems are already in use in the UK and the USA. We hope this initiative will help with the training of healthcare professionals working in the front line of this global emergency.

We have a team of people working from home who are ready to remotely upload the new module to any hospital using our BodyWorks PoCUS training simulator.

Whether you have a BodyWorks PoCUS system or not, but would like to know more please contact us at hello@intelligentultrasound.com

As the fight against the virus evolves, we will look to release additional upgrades to the COVID-19 lung ultrasound modules as appropriate, but in the meantime we hope that you, your colleagues and families are staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. As the frontline in this emergency, you are doing an amazing job and we thank you for it.

The COVID-19 training module is free for all existing and new BodyWorks PoCUS customers and was made available to the market today.
