Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Officer

Use your experience in quality assurance and regulatory affairs to make the world a better place.  We need a creative, passionate individual with excellent attention to detail to help us deliver innovative healthcare solutions by helping us to achieve our quality and regulatory requirements.

Ideally you will have had experience in a similar role or have had exposure to this type of activity.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring adherence of processes to the defined QMS procedures.
  • Providing administrative assistance to VP Regulatory Affairs.
  • Organising and co-ordinating QMS trainings for staff and maintain training documentation.
  • Organise inspiring activities related to QMS requirements to foster QMS across the company.
  • Liaising with process owners across company to gather QMS feedback and record the feedback along with proposed changes in the QMS change log.
  • The maintenance and management of:
    • Internal audit logs and records.
    • Nonconformance logs and records.
    • Corrections and corrective and preventive actions logs and records.
    • Post market surveillance and product vigilance file.
    • Other records, such as calibration/service and electrical equipment PAT certificates.
    • Product training and feedback forms.
    • QMS meeting minutes records.
  • Reviewing correctness of documentation format of all QMS and project documents ready for approval.

The requirements for this role are:

  • Previous experience or exposure to a similar role.
  • An inspiring and creative approach to this specialism to drive adoption across the company.
  • Ability to handle pressure situations with calmness and diplomacy.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet targets on time. Always completing activities.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate across teams.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 quality management system and technical documentation is desired but not mandatory.

Lead AI Specialist

We need you to help us deliver innovative healthcare solutions, specifically developing our AI led ultrasound solutions to improve outcomes for millions of people worldwide.  We want a specialist in deep learning to act as a mentor to our team of skilled engineers.  You will be a machine learning design authority on new R&D projects within ultrasound imaging. You will work with Prof. Alison Noble FRS, a founder of Intelligent Ultrasound and technical consultant to the company.

We carry out machine learning on large datasets of medical images to produce deep-learning image segmentation and classification models that will be incorporated into products under development and clinical evaluation. These are and will be real world solutions. The software we develop is regulated as a medical device and so requires approval by regulatory agencies such as the FDA and MHRA.

You will be responsible for:

  • Implementing practical solutions to hard-to-solve development tasks both in model training and in production code
  • Keeping up to date with and disseminating the latest research and techniques in image-based machine learning (in conjunction with Prof. Noble)
  • Supporting other engineers in their application of machine learning
  • Making decisions as to network topologies and machine learning strategies
  • Working with our clinical team on defining achievable product functionality and data requirements

The requirements for this role are:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in applied machine learning either within academia (with an impressive academic publication record) or with relevant industrial experience (and demonstrable track-record through to commercialisation)
  • Able to choose the most appropriate machine learning technique to solve a real-work image analysis problem
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest deep learning techniques for image analysis
  • Good mentor: able to explain concepts clearly and succinctly

Software Team Leader

Use your leadership skills to make the world a better place. We need you to help us to deliver innovative healthcare solutions, specifically developing our AI led ultrasound solutions to improve outcomes for millions of people worldwide.

We want a team leader to coach and develop a small team of skilled engineers, developing machine-learning models that improve ultrasound imaging.

You will be responsible for:

  • The management of the product development lifecycle, from specification through to product testing.
  • Project planning for new activities, including the coordination of complex development plans.
  • The identification and management of project risks. The completion of risk assessments.
  • Promoting our collaborative team culture, operating across technical boundaries to be both results driven and development focussed.

The requirements for this role are:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in leading a product development team from concept to commercial implementation.
  • Your previous background will be as a highly numerate software engineer.
  • The ability to demonstrate that you have met commercial deadlines and can define and deal with project risk.

Candidates will ideally have experience of machine learning within medical imaging.
