Visual Content Developer  (£24-£30k dependent on experience)

Use your 3D modelling and graphic design experience on ultrasound education and training; helping to make the world a better place.   We need a proactive and adaptable person to join our proactive and friendly team.   Be able to work with minimal supervisions, whilst delivering work of the highest quality.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and updating 3D anatomy models
  • Ultrasound volume creation
  • Adjustment and Segmentation
  • Graphic Designs for GUI
  • Manual and video guide creation and maintenance

The requirements for this role are:

  • At degree is a relevant subject
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop and After Effects)
  • Proficient in a 3D modelling software (Maya or Blender)
  • Understanding of 3D space and its manipulation
  • Understanding of software/product development methodologies

Machine Learning Engineer   (£35-£45k dependent on experience)

Use your Machine Learning skills and experience to make the world a better place.  We need you to help us deliver cutting-edge AI  that helps improve ultrasound scanning for millions of people worldwide.  We offer rich and varied work for proactive, adaptable people who require minimum supervision.

You will carry out machine learning on large datasets of medical images to produce deep-learning (image segmentation and classification) models that will be incorporated into products under development and clinical evaluation. These are and will be real world solutions. The software we develop is regulated as a medical device and so requires approval by regulatory agencies such as the FDA and MHRA.  We are looking for engineers who bring new ideas from all areas and in return we take their development seriously.

The requirements for this role are:

  • Strong programming skills with exposure to at least two different languages
  • A degree/MSc with a strong scientific, mathematical or programming focus
  • Experience of using deep learning on real-world problems (Tensorflow and Keras)
  • Experience of using common frameworks such as OpenCV to analyse and manipulate images
  • Used source control systems (SVN, git etc.)
  • Developed software within a defined software development methodology (e.g., Agile, XP, Scrum)

Other skills you may already have or want to develop include:

  • Deep learning network optimisation
  • Python development
  • C++ development
  • Medical device software development under a quality management system (QMS)

Software Team Leader   (£65-£70k dependent on experience)

Use your leadership skills to make the world a better place.  We need you to help us deliver innovative healthcare solutions, specifically developing our AI led ultrasound solutions to improve outcomes for millions of people worldwide.   We want a team leader to coach and develop a small team of skilled engineers. You will lead an R&D team developing machine-learning models that improve ultrasound imaging.

Your team will carry out machine learning on large datasets of medical images to produce deep-learning image segmentation and classification models that will be incorporatedinto products under development and clinical evaluation. These are and will be real world solutions. The software we develop is regulated as a medical device and so requires approval by regulatory agencies such as the FDA and MHRA.

You will be responsible for:

  • Management of the product development life cycle, from specification through to product tesing
  • Advance project planning for new activities, including the coordination of complex development plans
  • Identification of management and project risks, and the completion of risk assessment(s) and associated  reporting on a regular basis
  • Creation of a collaborative team culture, operating across technical boundaries to be both results driven and development focused

The requirements for this role are:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in leading a product development team from concept to commercial implementation
  • Able to demonstrate that you have met commercial deadlines and can define and deal with project risk
  • Previous background will be as a highly numerate software engineer
  • Ideally you will have experience of machine learning in medical imaging
  • Most important is your ability to proactively manage a diverse team developing a complex solution to tight deadlines
  • Ideally you will have medical device software development experience under a quality management system (QMS)

Senior AI Specialist   (£65-£70k dependent on experience)

We need you to help us deliver innovative healthcare solutions, specifically developing our AI led ultrasound solutions to improve outcomes for millions of people worldwide.  We want a specialist in deep learning to act as a mentor to our team of skilled engineers.  You will be a machine learning design authority on new R&D projects within ultrasound imaging. You will work with Prof. Alison Noble FRS, a founder of Intelligent Ultrasound and technical consultant to the company.

We carry out machine learning on large datasets of medical images to produce deep-learning image segmentation and classification models that will be incorporated into products under development and clinical evaluation. These are and will be real world solutions. The software we develop is regulated as a medical device and so requires approval by regulatory agencies such as the FDA and MHRA.

You will be responsible for:

  • Implementing practical solutions to hard-to-solve development tasks both in model training and in production code
  • Keeping up to date with and disseminating the latest research and techniques in image-based machine learning (in conjunction with Prof. Noble)
  • Supporting other engineers in their application of machine learning
  • Making decisions as to network topologies and machine learning strategies
  • Working with our clinical team on defining achievable product functionality and data requirements

The requirements for this role are:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in applied machine learning either within academia (with an impressive academic publication record) or with relevant industrial experience (and demonstrable track-record through to commercialisation)
  • Able to choose the most appropriate machine learning technique to solve a real-work image analysis problem
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest deep learning techniques for image analysis
  • Good mentor: able to explain concepts clearly and succinctly
